2020...Don't Let the Door Hit You

Well friends, it has been a very tough year, and we’ve got at least a third of a year more to go (more likely a half) until things become substantially better. As I write this on New Year’s Eve, a local restaurant is cooking up some ribs for a local driver to deliver to my very door, likely the highlight of the evening. My father always said that “New Years Eve was for amateurs”, and truth be told, I’ve pretty much kept a low profile on this night.

I’ve decided to see about this Substack thing and turn the blog more into a newsletter. I’ll write for a little while for free and then probably turn on the monthly newsletter fee feature at some point. New Year, new gig.

My current plan is to have pieces drop on Tuesdays and Fridays (except for this week), first thing in the morning. I’ll write about things that interest me. Politics, pop culture, modern America, sports, national security. I’ll complain about things. I’ll make you mad sometimes.

But hopefully you’ll find something in my writing that challenges you. That can’t be all bad.
