I think I'm lifting and making my new mantra, "I need to become more comfortable with not being clever. Not being informed. Not having an opinion".

I might change it when I'm asked something to " I'm not really clever, informed, or have an opinion on the subject".

Maybe tee-shirts.

I'll tie it in to Matt Labash 's "Make America Boring Again".

The not being clever part will be the easiest:).

Thank you!

Thank you! A reporter emailed looking for some commentary on administration appointments. It felt great to write back "I don't have anything to share on that".

The sad thing is that all cars are heavy as heck now, especially with people's propensity towards SUVs. I just randomly looked up the weight of a non-electric BMW X5, a pretty common car, and it's 5000 lbs

re: UVA

I understand that Youngkin finally has control of the BoV and plans a radical reform of the administration but I am waiting.

“Revenue making college sports are on the road to ruin, soon to become appendages of the professional sports they serve as farm systems for. That road leads to total disinterest on my part.” Amen brother. I have fought the good fight and lost.

I watched 'A Crown for Christmas' after you included it in a list of your top Hallmark Christmas movies a while ago and thought it was good. The presence of Danica McKellar was an obvious giant tick for me. I remember her fondly for her early performances during my formative years.

Sorry I can't help myself!!!!

Some History of Presidential Pardons.

Now You Can Get Your Outrage On!!!

¹George Bush Sr. pardoned a bunch of Iran-Contra plotters who he was directly involved with. Bill Clinton, in addition to pardoning Marc Rich, pardoned his brother Roger. George Bush Jr. was mostly pretty good, but he did commute Scooter Libby's sentence. And Trump in his first term reduced the system to rubble, granting clemency of one kind or another to Rod Blagojevich, Michael Milken, Joe Arpaio, Dinesh D'Souza, Bernie Kerik, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, Steve Bannon, George Papadopoulos, and seven (!) Republican congressmen convicted of crimes: Chris Collins, Duncan Hunter, Steve Stockman, Rick Renzi, Robin Hayes, Mark Siljander, and Randall "Duke" Cunningham. And, of course, Charles Kushner, his daughter's father-in-law.

Yes, strangely for the age, I find myself less interested in sports too -- especially the new National Pastime, football. The swell of gambling has made it all so much more boring than in the days of the past when, as my Jesuit political philosophy professor put it, watching sports is the closest most of us come to philosophizing.
