Enough with ship count! Is Lcs the same as cvn? How about tonnage or gross warhead weight

Three hubs? No. Two hubs, at most. Europe needs to quit underinvesting in their military. Pulling all US units out of every country except Poland and the Baltics will give them incentive.

16 carriers? 16? How will you pay for that? How will you crew that many? Counter offer. 9 CVN, and 6 drone carriers. The drone carriers are converted container ships. Buy at least 9 JSS from the ROK.

Here's the trade. You want more ships? Rescind 45 tax cuts on people making $500K or greater. Use that money for construction. And, use it to rebuild shipbuilding infrastructure, but also a job training program to have skilled workers for these yards. Study how Japan and ROK run their yards.

Lorain, Ohio, would like a Navy yard.... Seriously, the Great Lakes could build hulls.

"Low-End Surface Action Groups" might be a thing. Say, a Burke, couple Constellations, and a tender. Or some missile boats and a tender. For a lot of areas, that would be enough. Also ready-made convoy escort groups.

While our coasts have bleed shipbuilding capacity as commercial construction has moved overseas, I will point out that the Mississippi and Ohio rivers have largely maintained their own base to build tugs and barges.
